Forefront Books asked me to create the interior layout for The Epic Mentor Guide. This book has a two color interior (instead of the standard one color, black) which made room for a little creativity. Using only two colors creates a creative constraint, but it provides a fun challenge to see how creative it can be within a limited space. This is a book of quotes from 180 boss women “answering girls’ questions from around the globe about diversity and inclusion, raising hands, speaking up, and standing out”. Keeping the theme in mind, I used quote marks as my design elements. To break things up and create some interest, questions and quotes that took up two pages were treated with more color.
